i don't know, it's swings and roundabouts... the rear suspension components are lighter i reckon but the notches etc weigh more obviously, the front suspension/cross member etc is definately a bit lighter, i wouldn't be suprised if overall it weighs about the same.

finished the major fabrication today so i dropped it down on it's wheels to check everything pivots ok and nothing fouls... it's fair to say it couldn't go much lower!

a mates supposed to be doing any work needed for the mot but hes had the car for a month and i don't think hes even started work on it yet, its also getting fast air and maybe some paint. i bet you wish you still owned that chevy now its on the floor.

Personally if any thing I'd have the rear window striped, the paint is son nice on that. I don't want to sound like a cock, just my oppinion Could do with someone striping at the Skeg show if you fancy it Lance?

I am a big fan of good striping but sorry to say I'm not planning any for this car. Don't think it quite fits. I'm toying with the idea of some patina'd lettering on the trunk lid but I'd wanna mock up or photo shop that first to know for sure. That natural baked finish is maybe too good to touch!!

I must admit when i owned the car i thought about striping and then came to the same conclusion. it's kinda got enough going on with the paint as it is. it could end up looking too cluttered if you know what i mean. what about the air tank Dunk, we did talk about that before.

Yeah, think it would be nice to do something. Keen on making the trunk nice and tidy to show off yr good work. We'll get our heads together see what we can come up with. I promise no more leopard printfrom Leicester Market!!

Totally. I couldn't be happier. Tim's done a top job, can't say how cool it is to have someone on the same wavelength with the skills to do the work I can't. And the fact I can ask totally dumb questions without feeling like a complete knob.

Tim just wondered whats your plan for routing the exhaust system?? does it go under the axle or up and over the 'c' notch to exit out back? or is it coming out the side i.e. laker style and not reaching as far back as the axle?

Hey smiffy. I got a set of fenton headers and split pipekit coming over from the states. It looks like there is a pretty big 'u' that should go over the notch but won't know for sure till we get it. It's got smithy style mufflers so should sound real nice
