| Sept 27th 68 Delta green deluxe, when i decided to sell the white westy i decided i wanted to find the earliest Deluxe i could in Delta green, as they only started that colour in August 68 i reckon this is pretty much it :avit: Yeah maybe that's a bit too knarly... i have found an NOS panel, sure i can blend it in so you can't really tell. the onl paint this bus has ever had is on the N/s rear corner. i took the wheel off and gave the front a quick clean up... lots of nicely faded through paint on this bus it is by far the worst wiring i have ever seen!! Erm why didn't i ever think of making a switch panel out of cardboard before? :? the switch on the left is the indicators, the one on the right is for switching on the missile launch system i think, i switched it on and it lights up, i just can't find the actual launch button... maybe it's the horn push? i'm a bit scared to press it sorry the pics are shite, they are from my mobile...

| Sunday is the day of rest... my rest day often involves doing what i do the rest of the week but on one of my own cars... this Sunday i thought i'd have a play with the newest arrival... The guy i bought it off in the States said he'd put a new clutch in it but it didn't work, this will be why... one of the release bearing forks has bent right back and almost snapped off so the release bearing was hanging off too and not doing it's job... this is the extra wiring i've pulled out so far... there's a bit more to come out yet... what a mess! Crappy ratio'd early Bay box is out ready for a 2L box to take it's place. i have no idea what ratio's the 2L box has though so it's just to test it and could well be coming out again to make way for a Type 1 IRS box... And that was it for play time this week, it's back in the yard to make way for the weeks work... | |

How much differnece does the 2L box or the type 1 irs make to like fuel consumption? 2L i'm not sure, it depends what ratios it is, i think there are 4 or 5 different ones type 1 IRS makes a hell of a difference if you use the right box, i have a 03s (same as a 1600GT box) and that is really very good on juice... | |
