The 65 Frank Pierce TV Bus is in for some lowering treatment, it's still in it's original paint and very old faded signwriting. it came from Little Rock(where the film Stand by me was set) in Arkansas, USA

It belongs to Hippychick here on the forum.

Here's some of todays progress

Cheers Sam. We must have another conversation about Tees at some point.
Not lowering Frank any more on Tim's advice.
The Moon wheels I believe are longer lasting than the cheap alloys you can get on the high street, which can go grey quite quickly.
Pay peanuts, get monkeys. Grey ones.

Cheers for replying, appreciated. I think more people should reply/comment on the forum to keep it current.....you don't have to make a ground breaking comment, just keep the forum current......

Seeing this bus with the change in stance, wheels and some neat body work just makes me smile smugly in the knowledge that VW's are so cooooool. And this one will hopefuly make others see the light too. Great work.

The ply roof lining is just what I want, is it insulated between the ply and the tin roof ?

I used the foil backed bubble-wrap insulation from Wickes, about £12 a roll. Takes about 2 rolls to do the whole roof on mine.

When you fitted the ply Tim, did you seal the top with pva or similar or leave it as was? Thank you please.
