The MK3 Cortina is nearly finished (hopefully spring 2010)
I will try and put a few more pics up, and next time i go to Stevenage to my barn i will take a few pics and put them up as well.

The Mexico is an original and now owned by my cousin, his brother (obviously another cousin) also has an original Mexico and a MK1 Van.

When i have taken some more pics i will put them up.

I was having a wander around my mates garden yard and outbuildings the other day and i gave up counting when i got to 70 motors and believe me he has got some interesting stuff, Buick, Dodge, Chevy, Cadillac, Jag, Daimler, Mercedes, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, MG, Austin to name but a few, mainly 1930s-1970s. So makes my few cars look like a drop in the ocean.

When i first moved up this way from Stevenage (1997) i rented my flat out to someone who didnt drive about a year later they moved out and somone else moved in, i then got a phone call from the letting agent some ones parked a car outside the garage and it has been there for quite a long time can you see about having it moved as the new tennant would want to use the garage and the police have told us as it is on private property only the owner can do anything about it. When i lived there i had had problems with people parking in front of the garage but the police always told me they had no powers to remove a vehicle on private property.
So armed with my tow truck off i go to Stevenage thinking i will hook the car up drag it across town and dump and it wont be my problem anymore, well i turn in to the road and think what a anker an old Ford Cortina MK4 2.0s which i had forgot about when i moved, now looking very sorry for itself.
I got the electric pump out of the truck amd started blowing the tyres up while this was going on i then think to myself the only reason i would have left outside the garage is because i couldnt get it in there anker anker

scratch confused scratch the penny drops Surprised Smile avin My Audi 200 Quattrro Turbo must be in there so i load the cortiina up blat back home dump that then start playing hunt the Audi keys (dont want to break into it like i did the cortina) after an hour or so found the keys with the garage key on the same keyring fortunately and set off back to Stevenage with a smile on my face that was probably on a par with the one you got after your very first fuck.

Anyway thats enough from me for now

Catch you soon

Russ.

Hi CHEERS,

Its the age old story more often than not, when youve got the time its because youre not busy working so you dont have the money and when youre busy working you dont have the time so you put the money aside ready for the quiet time, then out of the blue something else goes wrong, the daily, the house, unexpected bill, the money then gets swallowed up and the cycle starts all over again Sad

Every now and again things all fall in to place and you make some headway Smile

I now need to build a new garage at my house, the old one is on its last legs and much too small. I have priced it all up as near as i can and i reckon 8K and if its anything like cars are will probably be 50% out so will more than likely end up at 12K No However it should save me some money in the long run as i can give up a bit of storage and wont have to keep travelling 30 or 80 mile round trips to work on the projects not to mention the amount of time that should be saved.

Cheers.

Russ.

The Olds is one of my favorites i think it was the colour along with the back end that made my mind up.
