I left Stamford at about 5pm this year and the convoy started at around Kettering....be good to try and organise something from our neck of the woods for 2008.......... |

| Whatever happens gonna rig me up an o/s rear camera for those truly butt clenchin lane changin/sliproad nightmares and a flashin beacon for when dom "Vegas" Welling decides to take picnic breaks on the hard shoulder think it took us well over 7 hours from spalding. Felt like i was in a ww2 bomber surrounded by dogfightin fighter planes where any kind of mishap would leave me nowhere to go but down (effin motorways) I'd never done v fest before but have to say WOW what a show where the hell did all those vans come from? Well worth the journey. If there's a convoy can we get some CB radios can we! can we! can we! | |

| It only took us about 2 hours from Stamford.... ..also, only 2 hours to get back, and we left at closing time on Sunday when every bus on the planet was leaving.....didn't see a single bus all the way from 3 counties showground to the M5...there's a secret route.... | |

Sounds awesome: good weather, no traffic, open roads! Stamford's definately lacking in empty straight roads | |

| Nice to go in convoy, but getting home is nice without hours of queues...the Malvern to Worcester route on the Sunday is a major bottleneck....I go a different way, I only know it because I am from Malvern..... Open roads.....try the roads between Stamford and Kings Cliffe and Oundle, with villages like Woodnewton and Apethorpe.....the countryside is open, hilly and amazing....E Northants is fantastic..... | |
