What is Soda - Blasting

Unlike using an abrasive, like sand etc, Sodium Bicarbonate particles remove contaminants by means of the energy released when the particles explode on contact with the surface. This non-abrasive action allows it to be used on surfaces, which would be damaged by abrasive media like: aluminum, stainless steel, brick, stone, glass, fiberglass, wood, plastics, bearings, seals, hydraulic cylinders and many more.

Soda blasting also breaks down hydrocarbons, which makes it highly suitable for cleaning engines, engine parts and similar. Another major advantage is that the surface-tension of metals is not broken, which eliminates the problem of flash-rusting.
