nick Weekend fantastic, weather mainly dry, lot of sun.....loads of people, Stopover is a biggish show now, three big fields of bus camping, lots of traders....nonetheless people seemed to have their wallets glued into their pockets, trading was very tough.....credit crunch or whatever they call it, falling house prices etc.......if Peppercorn is £50 plus petrol of maybe £40, I could lose money......its getting that tight now with punters being so picky and fuel costs astro.......Wales for example is now a definite nono...... Stopover was £25 trading for the weekend and well worth it but Im now thinking that a long drive and double the trading fee isn't worth it......as for BVF and Vanfest, Bugjam etc. I could only possibly be a spectator....... Increasing interest rates, declining property prices and rising fuel costs have a scary effect on everyone, unfortunately.....

| your not wrong about the bus stop over turn out , loads of buses , loads of people , great atmosphere , great music , loads of tight wads overall a well recommended event . on the way home on the A52 at the QMC hospital island exit we where met head on by an Audi A4 estate complete with a pair of biddy's coming the wrong down the slip road  missed a car in the outside lane , missed a second in the middle and missed us , not sure what happened next , possible 3 point turn  | |

I think the the price of petrol is gonna do a lot of people in this year. I've just priced up the BVF trip and thought is it worth it? a weekend away in my bus and no work , yeah its gotta be worth it. Gotta a Cornwall trip planned later in the year gonna tie it in with Vanfest just to keep my fuel costs down. Starting to think that camping isn't a cheap hobby anymore. Dom.
