thought id save my first post for this Cool

1970 Sacramento Westy PopTop

AKA the keeper :mrgreen:





Been dying to post this up for ages, its being delivered to LA port this week, then here in 4 weeks time

2 owners from new, California bus

Gonna have a great spec, but im keeping that under my hat till after it arrives 😉

Update

CFR confirm it left LA Friday, so 30 days and counting :mrgreen:

Few more pictures







Had the front seat covers and door cards redone in LA, replace the dodgy blue seats

heres a b4 and after








And something to keep the westy company on the journey over :wink:

NEW LOWERED/NARROWED BEAM
REAR SPRING PLATES
PAINT BUMPERS AND POP TOP
FIT NEW ENGINE AND GEARBOX
NEW WHEELS
ALL ELECTRICALS, INC STEREO, 240V HOOKUP AND EBERSPACHER

**wheels and tyres on the bus are for sale, as are the standard set it came with too**

So, not much to do over the next few weeks :wink:

That's a real nice original bus, i reckon you got a good find there! the wheels are truely minging though, glad they are coming off!

Be a few days before she reaches the workshop for some serious work to start

in the meantime ive stripped the interior for reupholstery, and given the inside a good clean



the cab floor was a bitch, i had to sweep it and give it a damn good wash :mrgreen:




also stuck down some loose laminate :wink:

I have so many American coins that have come out of import buses but i don't think if i added them all up they'd be worth even one English pound Laughing

im a week behind now due to brake hose adaptors, parts all ordered now i hope, aiming to have it back down on the ground and motd by friday

to do b4 mot

new clutch cable
rear brake shoe fitting kit
fit front lights
paint pop top
paint bumpers
fit front brake flexi and hose adaptors, bleed system etc
adjust height to level
order and fit rear shocks



Cant judge rear shock till i get it back down, which due to brake probs mean i havnt been able to dial in the ride height yet



not all polished yet, but OG paint is coming up a treat



rear adjustable spring plates fitted

some interior bits arrived, buddy seat and stool fitted up with new vinyl, and also my new curtains

will have pics of the full interior re-fitted next week
