Had a few spare hours so I thought I'd give it a go, so one severely bruised thumb and a alot of woodshavings later...

I'll hopefully be doing some more in the christmas holiday,but that depends on finding some better, less knotted wood

palms the prefered wood but it aint so common in England funnily enough Laughing

I'll ask my dad if he could recomend a good calving wood that's no too hard to get here.

would be cool if you could make some more. i'd be interested in selling them from my shop.

That'd be cool. I'm definately no wood expert.
The wood i used wasn't too bad- bit tough though. You just need a bit more time and patience.

I'm trying to decide what kind of finish it needs.
Some sort of varnish or woodstain or maybe some detail in paint?

I think the next ones need to dry out slower as this one has some splits starting to form.
